Hey guys, we meet again after a long break. Yea I would give the credit to my laziness and expertise in procrastination. But today I want to write something that aims at the Indian readers. Don't worry it's more or less general so don't think that you need to be Indian to read it.
This time I want to talk about brain. Yes a bit of psychology I guess, but no complicated terms or data, I promise.
So I was going though these articles talking about some mental disorders and their symptoms, I found it really interesting. Surprisingly I could spot people showing many symptoms and yet going about normally. This is what made me think, since when did people, in the land where the basics of mind and body were established, become so weak? Spending some time thinking about it made me realise a few things. Again, these are solely my thoughts, so you are free to think for yourself.
It's a well established fact that in the earlier ages, this land thrived with people who had conquered mind and body. When the world was fighting for control over others and advancing outwards, our ancestors fought battles to conquer oneself and advanced inward. Rather than referring to India as the "Sone ki Chidiya" which translates to 'the golden bird' I would prefer calling it the land of conquerers. The reason for this being, every second person on this land, had conquered their respective inner selves. Fast forward to present day, and we have destroyed ourselves. Ironical right? I find it funny and people find it hard to believe that were ever so advanced. It's funny how lust, greed, anger and arrogance lead to the downfall of the best. I believe that our journey in search of acceptance from the world brought us down. What remains of us are more of superstitious fools and less thinkers.
Students now a days go through a lot even before entering college. It can be said that even before a child reaches his teens, he learns to put up a mask in front of the society. The innocence of a child dies at a very young stage and never gets a chance to grow. This innocence is what grows into maturity, so if you say you are mature, better find your innocence first. An average Indian student, on entering college can have the following thoughts. First are the ones related to marks and other ways of proving themselves to the world. The next comes lust which makes them go head over heels behind the opposite gender, creating a false impression that they know what love or romance is(Wow, just look at the author acting so high and mighty as if he knows it all. Arrogance personified. Plus there go his chances of getting in any relationships. XD). Now if you read the above mentioned lines carefully and ponder a bit, you would realise that all one does is seek happiness. There is nothing wrong in that, but how can we seek something we don't even know? The misconception that happiness lies in being accepted by the society and living like the others has ruined us. How can one be happy while not being in terms with oneself ? The brain will keep throwing tantrums rendering us helpless. This is the root cause behind most of the psychological disorders that exist in today's world. We say we are stressed out, we say that our brains are overloaded, I call them just excuses. The brain is meant to be limitless enough to access the universal intelligence and in sync with the body, it can perform tasks that we consider impossible. But we can never reach that point. In today's world, we are just too busy proving ourselves right and dominating over others. We fail to realise that there is no point in dominating over others when we ourselves have no control over our minds. We fail to realise that conquering ourselves is more important than conquering others.
I have a lot to say regarding this but would rather like to end it here because thi topic is endless, the smart can get a hint from here. I would like to invite anyone interested to a discussion over the comments. Waiting for your views. :)
P.S. These are just my ideas splashed on the blog page, so please don't expect them to be arranged in an order. Any suggestions are welcome.
Hi all, First of all let me congratulate all the people who have qualified mains. And all the best for JEE Advanced. These two years have really tested us in various ways and life will continue throwing challenges at us. The difference occurs only when we see the beauty in these challenges and accept them with our arms wide open. Fear not the result and live today. We might do all the above mentioned things. But what we do not realize that there I some constant force that is always behind our back supporting us. Yes, is parents that I am talking about they do all the work they can to keep us happy. The pains they bear are a million times what we go through and the most interesting part, they do not let us even realize what they are going through. Right now if you are thinking that my parents are different, then let me tell you that you are wrong, you just do not know. They are all the same, ready to tolerate the fires of hell so that their children can have all their wis...
